Leaving Singapore and flying home

Checked out this morning as due to fly later tonight. Took MRT to Little India, did a walk around there visiting several Tao and Hindu temples although as they were busy didn’t really go in to explore. Visited the Malaysian Heritage Museum then took a bus to Changi village. Had lunch in the Hawker Centre including a Durian milkshake (the closest I got to eating the rather smelly Durian fruit). Went for a walk along the river and watched a few aircraft landing. On way back to the city, got off to visit the Changi Prison Museum and Chapel, before walking (the long way) to the MRT back to the hotel. Milled around for a bit then took MRT to the Airport to check in. Was upgraded to Club World, travelling in 13B (facing forwards) so wasn’t going to complain about the lack of a window! Instead of going to Skyview Lounge as I had booked, went to BA/Qantas Lounge and snacked there. Left SIN T1 late (BA016, B777 G-YMMJ, scheduled 2310 local, left 2346) due to other flights before us leaving late (BA 744, QF 744). Watched end of Valkrie, and something else, and slept. Overtaken on the way by the SIN A380 landed 0654 local on 09R. On leaving my seat I couldn’t find my watch, so the stewards took the seat apart in case it had fallen into it. Unfortunately it had and the mechanism had crushed my watch. On the way out I managed to visit the flight deck where the captain said that LL_APP had been amazing. Through T4 in about 15 mins – the only delay was because I was the last one off the aircraft, straight through immigration, bag was already on the carousel, and then had to wait for Dad.
